Top 25 Walt Disney World Attractions

Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run

With over one hundred attractions, Disney World has PLENTY to keep you busy for days and days. Plus, with all of the great food to be eaten, pools to swim in, and naps to be taken, you are probably going to have to skip some things.

In this post we outline the 25 attractions that we believe should be on everyone’s must do list. There will definitely be more that you will want to add to this list, and please do. Our goal here is that you can use this as a starting point for strategically planning your time in the parks.

If you are looking for more details on how to ride all of these top attractions, our companion piece to this post discuss how to do all 25 on a four-day Disney World adventure, including how to do many more than once. Check it out here!

Before we get started, here are a few notes on to interpret this list.

First of all, we have classified every single attraction at Walt Disney World into one of 6 categories:

  • Just Skip It. . .: As the name says, it's just not worth your time. Go back to the resort pool and take a nap or buy an adult beverage instead!

  • If Nostalgic: Only ride these rides if they have a special meaning to you or someone in your group. If you feel like it would make you happy, then go for it!

  • Worth The Chill: If you get tired, or just want a break from the action, these are great options. But, you won’t really be missing out if you don’t make it around to this group.

  • Definitely Once: Whatever you do, don’t miss! But once is probably enough.

  • Worth a Repeat: You won’t be satisfied visiting these attractions only once. Better plan on a second day - or better yet, a second visit!

  • Top Attractions: Being a top attraction at Disney World is a competitive distinction; there are so many high caliber rides. Only five fall into this category.

This post highlights the 25 attractions that we believe fall into the Definitely Once, Worth a Repeat and Top Attractions categories. If you want to see the full rankings along with descriptions and more tips for the three most prevalent ride types, check out our posts on each using the links below.

Secondly, we have provided some brief details on relative wait times. We can't provide specific times because every day is different and crowd levels vary significantly throughout the year. Instead we have grouped them into “Mid”, “High” and “Very High”. You can expect a “Very High” wait time to be about 1.5 times that of the wait time for a “High” ride and the wait time for a “High” ride to be about 1.5 times the wait time for a “Mid”. For example, if the wait for a “Mid” ride was around 60 minutes, you could expect the wait time for a “High” ride to be around 90 minutes and a “Very High” ride to be around 120 minutes.

Finally, we have provided FastPass+ and touring recommendations including noting the FastPass+ Tier that it falls into. For more information on the FastPass+ system, check out our post that dives deep into how it works. Additionally, in the notes below, we provide suggestions on whether you need a FastPass+, should Rope Drop the ride (ride it first thing in the morning), or if you can wait to ride until mid-morning.
